I am tired and I need some motivation

Tired and need some motivation

I woke up in the morning today telling myself that I have to run when I got home from work.
When I was at work, I reminded myself that I would run when I got home from work.
To prepare for my run, I did not eat or drink 2 hours prior.
But when I got home, I was really, really tired.

If it sounds familiar to you, you should watch this clip for some motivation. I was really tired, but I am a champion. And champion lasts throughout.

Remember:
What the mind sets out to do the body will follow.
The first step is always the hardest.
Not tomorrow, but right now.

Now, go out for your run; Go do what you need to do; You are a champion.

Wisdoms of Stephen Covey

On this day, although Stephen Covey has left this world, he is no doubt an inspiring figure for me and many others. He will continue to live in my heart through his motivational book - 7 habits of highly effective people. I went through a quick video of him speaking on youtube and his most impactful wisdom to me was:

Everyone chooses one of two roads in life. One road is the broad, well travelled road to mediocrity. The other is the road to greatness.

For those on the second road, you might be scared, you might fail, but it would be a decision that you would not regret. At the end of the road, you will find a sense of achievement, for you have done it and walk the path till the end. If you ever feel like giving up, remember - persistence is the key to success.

Unfortunately, the video does not touch on the 7 habits, which as a recap I have listed below:
  1. Be Proactive
  2. Begin with the End in Mind
  3. Put First Things First
  4. Think Win-Win
  5. Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood
  6. Synergize
  7. Sharpen the Saw

How to wake up of bed early

Get out of bed early

For those of you who has problems waking up early in the morning for a good workout like I do... This is a cool piece of video that you should watch. Even better, convert the video to mp3 using youtube converter and it would make the best alarm clock ever.

Waking up is a mind game. You gotta get out of your bed before you convince yourself that its too early/you're too tired/it's raining/your body needs more rest/it's the weekend just a little bit more/I'll wake up after snoozing 5 mins/I can run in my sleep...
