Life tips inspire
and motivate. Famous and successful people with the track record are a good source
of such life tips which they attribute to their success. Below is a compilation
of some of the best tips to get you pumped.

From
Stephen Covey
Although Stephen
Covey has left this world, he is no doubt an inspiring figure for me and many
others. He will continue to live in my heart through his motivational book - 7
habits of highly effective people. I went through a quick video of
him speaking on youtube and his most impactful wisdom to me was:
Everyone chooses one of two roads in life. One road
is the broad, well travelled road to mediocrity. The other is the road to
greatness.
For those on the
second road, you might be scared, you might fail, but it would be a decision
that you would not regret. At the end of the road, you will find a sense of
achievement, for you have done it and walk the path till the end. If you ever
feel like giving up, remember - persistence is
the key to success.
Unfortunately, the
video does not touch on the 7 habits, which as a recap I have listed below:
- Be Proactive
- Begin with the End in Mind
- Put First Things First
- Think Win-Win
- Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood
- Synergize
- Sharpen the Saw

From Will Smith
We know him as the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, but few
know of his deep side. I just watched a 10
min compilation of Will
Smith's words of success and they could be basically summarised into 3 points:
1. "Don't ever
let somebody tell you you can't do something"
This is the famous
line from the movie pursuit of happiness. Many times we try to do things but
some people will tell you that its impossible, do not be discouraged. You have
to believe it can be done.
2. No shortcut to
success
Talents are inborn
and skills comes with relentless practice. When your friends are partying, you
practice, and you improve your skills. Will's success lies on his
"ridiculous, sickening work ethic".
3. Live to make a
difference
I personally like
this - Make someone else's life better, and your life will be better too.
From Robert Greenberg
Just do it. Never give up.
For my friends out
there who are currently hesitating, or are thinking of giving up, remember that
persistence is key. If you drop the effort without persevering until you see
the results, everything will go to waste. The logic to success is simple
- just do it and never give up!
With
that, I will end this post with a motivational clip featuring
CEO of Skechers, Robert Greenberg. Great speech.
"Persistence, true persistence"

From David Beckham
Get famous, don't stop there, do good.
This was the inspiration I got watching the video where David Beckham
surprised Adidas shoppers at their photobooth.
To say that the
shoppers were shocked is an understatement. They were overwhelmed. Some cried,
some were paralyzed in disbelief. Their responses were sincere and pure. To
witness a global idol appear before their very eyes is utterly unbelievable.
That set me thinking.
If you enjoy world-wide fame, your mere presence can bring such an emotional
reaction from people. Your influence is far-reaching. You hold a power in your
hands - a power to move people.
If you reach that
level, what would you do? Would you be content with what you have, or would you
strive for even more? Would you use this power to do good, or would you use
this influence to spread evil?
David Beckham's
simple visit touched the lives of some. At that level, one has the potential to
touch so much more. At that level, the power of one can really make the world a
better place.
