Have you caught the video where David Beckham surprised Adidas shoppers at their photobooth?
To say that the shoppers were shocked is an understatement. They were overwhelmed. Some cried, some were paralyzed in disbelief. Their responses were sincere and pure. To witness a global idol appear before their very eyes is utterly unbelievable.
That set me thinking. If you enjoy world-wide fame, your mere presence can bring such an emotional reaction from people. Your influence is far-reaching. You hold a power in your hands - a power to move people.
If you reach that level, what would you do? Would you be content with what you have, or would you strive for even more? Would you use this power to do good, or would you use this influence to spread evil?
David Beckham's simple visit touched the lives of some. At that level, one has the potential to touch so much more. At that level, the power of one can really make the world a better place.
Get famous, don't stop there, do good.
